He remembered the yellow, cardboard ducks going round and round.
Pick up the air gun. Aim. Shoot. Simple. Nothing to it. Not even
for a 10-year old boy.

Jack wiped sweat from his eyes. Settled himself again. Stock
against shoulder. Steady finger, feather-lite against the trigger.
Cheek pressed against the butt of the weapon, he peered through the
scope. People. Walking, laughing, playing with a dog. Some kind of
beagle.

A tall man exited the building. Laughing, he joined the others.
Jack aimed. Squeeze the trigger, Jack. Gently. Nothing to it.
Just orders. Just pretend. Little, moving, paper people.
