Author’s notes: Possible tissue warning. I know *I* got choked up when Wells
told Daniel the baby's name. I have been loving the challenge of the drabble
  Feedback greatly appreciated.

She is precious and dainty. Her delicate bonnet and long white flowing gown
of embroidered batiste and lace is ethereal and angelic. She squirms in her
father’s arms stifling a tiny yawn.

I choke back a mixture of pride and melancholy as her parents present her to
the intimate gathering of family and friends on her Christening Day. Senior
Airman Wells and his wife are well aware of the sacrifices made in order for
this day to have become reality.

Baby Janet will live to honor and in memory of that sacrifice.

She has very large combat boots to fill.
