Homecoming.

Used to mean so much.

Then it meant so little.

Now it's slowly having a purpose in my life again. Every time we come back through the gate in one piece. Alive.

This time it's truly special. We almost didn't bring one home. Trying to survive on a God forsaken lump, alone. Terrified, exhausted and chased by the devils own, with no one for back up.

I look over to my left and a small smile graces my face.

Homecoming.

Yeah, it's special now. Samantha Carter is coming home, with me. And my life is just a little brighter.
