Wayne Brady: "After five successful years as Dr. Daniel Jackson on the SciFi Channel's "Stargate SG-1," our next guest caused a fan frenzy when his character died. Well, I'm happy to report that he's back, he's healthy and he has his job back. Let's take a look."

(film clip from "Full Circle" is shown:

Daniel: "The most important thing right now is for you to get out of here with that tablet. If Anubis gets his hands on it and finds the Lost City before you do, it's all over. He already has a huge advantage over you, because of what the Others have done, or rather failed to do.

Jack: "You gonna kick his ass?"

Daniel: "If I have to."

Jack: "Can you?"

Daniel: "We'll see. Nothing will happen to the people of Abydos. ")

Wayne: "Yeah! Please welcome Mr. Michael Shanks."

MS comes out, wearing black sweater (zip up) over a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and dark (blue or black) tennies.

MS: "That was so schmaltzy."

Wayne: "Yeah - nothing will happen to…"

MS: "A little jaw clenching…a little…yeah, that's great."

Wayne: "How cool is that to play an action hero? You run around with those staffs (simulates holding a staff weapon), blowing stuff up and…"

MS: "I don't get to do that! That's the tough thing about…it's such a great show…we have so many great gadgets and stuff. And I get to be the guy that walks around with the glasses and drops stuff and, you know, when ever somebody has to be captured and tortured, that's, that's where I fit in. (grimaces) So, the…"

Wayne: "Yeah, but you got…"

MS: "So the rocket up the butt outfit? That doesn't happen to me."

Wayne: "No? One day, I shall have the rocket up the butt."

(MS, Wayne, audience laugh.)

Wayne: "The fans, and when I say the fans, including myself, I think we all freaked out when you left. Because the team just seemed so secure…and in case you don't know the show, because if you don't get the SciFi Channel, or if you didn't see it on Showtime, it's a story of Stargate the movie basically, where…well, why don't you explain it better than I?"

MS: "Oh, god. So long ago…Where James Spader…"

Wayne: "You guys are all guys…no, go ahead…"

MS: "James Spader, Kurt Russell, big circle is found in the desert of Egypt and they realize that aliens built the pyramids for landing platforms, and the circle transports you to other worlds and is called a Stargate. How did I do? Was that good?"

Wayne: "Very good, very good."

MS: "Whew!"

Wayne: "And so his team is SG-1 and you're the James Spader."

MS: "I'm the James Spader. (Hits him.) Whoa! (Smiles…audience laughs.) That's trippy."

Wayne: "Yeah, you have the James Spader role, that's true. Now, you were a big fan of scifi growing up?"

MS: "Oh, yeah, huge. 'Battlestar: Galactica,' 'Star Wars,' I owned all the toys, STILL own all the toys, and that's really sad. Uhm…'Space 1999'…remember that one?"

Wayne: "With the…"

MS: "With the girl with the funky eyebrows?" (Maya)

Wayne: "With Martin Landau?" (Commander John Koenig)

MS: "Yeah, with Martin Landau."

Wayne: "Yeah."

MS: "Uhm, and Starbuck from 'Battlestar: Galactica…(MS raises his right thumb up)"

Wayne: "Well, I really liked Apollo."

MS: "Oh, you were an Apollo guy?"

Wayne: "Yeah, I was an Apollo guy."

MS: "Ohh…"

Wayne: "And I loved the robotic dog, that looked so weird, but made the (imitates movements with machine sound effects)…

MS: "Bitty bitty…that's right." (Imitating Twiki from 'Buck Rogers in the 25th Century')

Wayne: "No…that was actually from…"

MS: "Buck Rogers!"

Wayne: "Get it right!"

MS: "Erin Gray though."

Wayne: "Erin Gray and the…(Wayne turns to face the audience) I'm sorry, welcome to Big Geeks! Starring Wayne Brady… (MS is taking a sip from his coffee cup and starts laughing, audience laughs) In the next hour, I'll be an even bigger geek than anyone that you know at home. (Wayne turns back to face MS) You want to play Dungeons and Dragons next? Uhm, when did you decide you wanted to act?"

MS: "When I was on my way to go to my first audition at University, and 'MacGyver' was filming on the beach. And, Rick rolls out of his, I think he was driving a Viper at the time, or something like that, and sunglasses…"

Wayne: "And when you say Rick, you mean Richard Dean…"

MS: "Richard Dean Anderson, sorry. It's just traditional. I took a long time to call him Rick, you always think Richard or what ever. 'Dick' is another popular one, but that's for those in the know." (audience laughs)

Wayne: "I see."

MS: (chuckles) "And they were filming there, and it was just all of a sudden…it was the first time I had even been on a set to watch the fascinating process of filmmaking. And it made me actually believe that it wasn't just a dream and that it could actually be done. It was being done in the city. (Vancouver) It was being done right down the way. It's just ironic that the first job I ever get was coming full circle and working with him. So that was cool."

Wayne: "That's absolutely great. And keep on doing your thing. For the fans of Stargate, I'm very happy that you're back on the show. Look forward to many more seasons out of you. And thank you so much for coming all the way down. Thank you so much. Michael Shanks - 'Stargate SG-1.'   The season premiere is June 13th at 9pm on the SciFi Channel. We'll be right back. Don't miss that…"
